Description

The Tamla cardigan by MarMar Copenhagen is a beautiful fine-knit baby cardigan in the color Alpaca Melange. The soft, mottled natural shade gives the cardigan a calm, luxurious look and makes it very easy to combine with other items from the same cashmere collection.

The cardigan is made from 100% cashmere, making it exceptionally soft and light. Cashmere consists of very fine fibers and generally feels even softer than merino wool. The material hardly has an itchy wool feeling, making it wonderfully comfortable for sensitive baby skin.

The Tamla has a timeless design with a round neck, long sleeves, and a full button closure at the front. The buttons are made in the same soft Alpaca Melange color tone, which makes the whole look extra calm and refined. Beautiful to wear open over a onesie or blouse, but also nice as an extra warm layer when it's colder.

Why cashmere?

Cashmere is one of the finest natural wool types. The fibers are very thin and supple, making the material feel exceptionally soft on the skin.

Compared to merino wool, cashmere generally feels even softer and finer. At the same time, it is naturally insulating, providing a lot of warmth without feeling heavy or thick. This is a great combination, especially for baby clothing: warm, light, and wonderfully comfortable.

WASH & CARE

Cashmere does not need to be washed after every wear. Regular airing is often enough to keep the cardigan fresh.

When washing is necessary:

Preferably hand wash in cold to lukewarm water
Use a mild wool or cashmere detergent
Do not rub, scrub, or wring vigorously
Do not soak for extended periods
Gently squeeze out excess water
Optionally, place between a clean towel to absorb moisture
Then lay flat to dry in shape
Do not hang when the cardigan is wet
Do not tumble dry
Do not dry on a radiator or other direct heat source

This way, the delicate cashmere fibers and the shape of the cardigan will remain beautiful for as long as possible.
